Children are dying in a horrible manner from a little known disease. The condition blinds its victims before they further suffer and pass away.

It’s called Batten disease. Kids begin to develop vision problems or seizures. In some cases the early signs are subtle, taking the form of personality and behavior changes, slow learning, clumsiness or stumbling. 

Over time, affected children suffer mental impairment, worsening seizures, and progressive loss of sight and motor skills. Children become totally disabled and eventually die.

Dr. David A. Pearce of the University of Rochester is trying to find a cure, but he needs your help.
